Sustainable Development 

The ESG Task Force is responsible for developing AGV’s ESG policies and guidelines to specify its commitments and goals for the environment, society and corporate governance. These policies and guidelines can reduce environmental impacts, improve employee welfare and enhance transparency and ethical governance. It is important to ensure the ESG Task Force works closely with AGV’s senior management to fulfill AGV’s sustainability goals.

I.　 In 2015, the company established a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organization, which was renamed the Sustainability Development Organization in 2022. The General Manager serves as the chief convener, with the Human Resources Department functioning as the unit responsible for promoting sustainability. Each department evaluates risks and opportunities to set feasible goals for implementation, focusing on seven key areas: investors, corporate governance, labor & human rights, supply chain management, distributors, product responsibility, and environmental energy. Regular and ad-hoc meetings are held to discuss these topics, with reports made to senior management and the Board of Directors. The proposals were submitted to the Board for discussion and approval on August 12, 2024, covering annual performance, reviews, and future work plans.

II.　 Reporting on sustainability efforts to the Board of Directors includes:

1. The implementation status of the 2023 Sustainability Report, which has undergone an independent limited assurance by Crowe (TW) CPAs.

2. Progress on the execution of the company's and subsidiaries' greenhouse gas inventory and verification timeline plans.

III.　 The Board of Directors supervises and oversees the company's sustainability efforts, including:

1. Policies and initiatives related to sustainability development, risk management, ethical conduct, climate change, energy management, human rights policies, workplace safety, and stakeholder communication, aiming to ensure sustainable operations.

2. Reviewing the Sustainability Report.
